Climate change seems to send North Pole on mini walk-about

Melting ice due to rising temperatures seem to have sent the geographic North Pole on a slow trek.

Scientists from University of Austin, Texas, have recently reported that the melting ice masses around the North Pole have caused it to shift at least a couple of centimetres every year since 2005.

It might not sound of much, but the movement is more than three times the year-on-year movement registered between 1982 and 2005.
