‘Rogue beer fridge’ found interfering with mobile net

A beer fridge, located in a garage in Wangaratta, Australia, has been identified as the reason for several mobile black spots in the town of 17,000.

A fault in the fridge meant that it was emitting electrical signals, causing radio frequency noise that is wide enough to create blackouts on the 850mHz spectrum that carries our mobile voice calls and internet data.

Must…not….make pun about….mobiles…freezing up…..
